"Bekannt war immerhin schon, dass auch Herpes-Viren und der Aids-Erreger HIV empfindlich gegen den Wirkstoff Carrageen sind. Doch die beste Wirkung erzielt Carrageen gegen das Humane Papillomavirus" https://www.wissenschaft.de/umwelt-natur...papillomaviren/
- "They found that among the women who used the gel as prescribed, there were fewer women infected with HPV in the carrageenan group than in the placebo group. This suggests that carrageenan gel may possibly protect women against certain types of HPV." https://aidsinfo.nih.gov/drugs/400/carrageenan/0/patient
- "After adjusting for risk factors, these compliant Carraguard users were 0.62 as likely to be classified HR-HPV positive (95% CI 0.41-0.94) as compliant placebo users." -> Also die Carragen Gel + Kondom Gruppe hat nur halb so of HPV angesteckt wie die nur-Kondom Gruppe. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22155903
- "Carrageenan is probably the most potent known anti-human papillomavirus (anti-HPV) agent described in preclinical studies The antiviral activity of CG against HSV-2 has also been previously documented (18,–20), and we have shown that CG in combination with zinc acetate results in synergistic antiviral activity against HSV-2."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC170551/ " At a dose of virus that infected all of the control mice, 1% solutions of carrageenans protected 85% of the inoculated mice. Other sulfated polysaccharides were less effective or showed no efficacy in preventing HSV-2 infection. These findings suggest that a vaginal formulation of carrageenan may be effective in blocking sexual transmission of HSV-2 in women."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9800263 "Carrageenan-based formulations were significantly more effective than currently marketed spermicides containing the same amount of N-9. Efficacy was demonstrated over a wide pH range. The carrageenan-based formulations could be autoclaved without losing antiviral activity and remained active in the vagina for several hours. We conclude that carrageenan-based N-9 formulations are likely to provide a more significant degree of protection against HSV-2 and other enveloped viruses than current OTC spermicides while providing comparable spermicidal activity."
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10517311 "The lambda-carrageenan 1T1, the kappa/iota-carrageenan 1C1 and the mu/nu-type 1C3, isolated from the red seaweed Gigartina skottsbergii, proved to be potent and selective inhibitors of herpes simplex virus (HSV) types 1 and 2. Time of addition and attachment studies suggested that the main target for antiviral action of the three carrageenans was virus adsorption, whereas no effect on virus internalization, or early or late protein synthesis was detected. However, the lambda-carrageenan 1T1 was still significantly inhibitory when added any time after adsorption. The pretreatment of virions with the carrageenans showed that 1C1 and 1C3 lacked direct inactivating effect at concentrations near the antiviral IC50 but 1T1 exerted virucidal action. The cyclization of 1T1 to afford the derivative 1T1T1 maintained the antiviral activity but eliminated the virucidal properties. Thus, the structure of 1T1 seems to be responsible for its differential behavior from 1C1 and 1C3, probably allowing a more stable binding to HSV, leading to virion inactivation. In contrast, 1C1 and 1C3 fail to bind with high affinity to virus alone, but are able to interfere with the interaction between HSV particles and the cell."
- 2018 Barriere Gel in Entwicklung: " - Zinc acetate, an antiviral compound that protects against HIV and HSV - Carrageenan, a seaweed-derived compound that is among the most potent anti-HPV agents identified to date." https://www.popcouncil.org/news/first-mu...imultaneously-i
-> Zink Acetat ist wohl nicht einfach Zinksalbe sondern "ZINC acetate is a salt produced by the reaction of zinc oxide with acetic acid"
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35994578/ "Multipurpose prevention technologies (MPT) have been increasingly researched for their dual-purpose preventative properties against HIV and other STIs. The acceptability of PC-1005, a topical MPT candidate, was explored among men and women participating in the MTN-037 Phase I trial at two U.S. sites "
Es kommt mir einfach so vor, als wenn die Forschung nun ein Mittel gegen Gebärmutterhalskrebs hat (Impfung) und es deshalb nicht mehr so eng sieht. Was kein Sex mehr für dich? Ach gibt doch schlimmeres zb.
